You are cordially invited to participate in a Webinar session for Asian Private Sector on Doing Business in Africa to be held on Wednesday 23rd September 2020, from 17.00 – 19.00 pm (Seoul time).
Africa offers tremendous investment opportunities for the Asian private sector given its enormous natural resources such as minerals, energy, fertile land, forests, fresh water, wild life, etc. Africa is the fastest growing continent with more than half of the global population growth between now and 2050 expected to occur in Africa. The continent in addition, before the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic, had the longest period of economic expansion in the past decade with unbroken increase in per capita income.
Whereas many Asian companies would be willing to conduct business in Africa, they lack sufficient information about the business environment and business opportunities on the continent. Asian companies can benefit from partnerships with local African enterprises and from engaging Multilateral Development Organizations such as the African Development Bank.
During this webinar, the African Development Bank will introduce Asian companies to the Bank’s private sector financial products, its non-sovereign operations and share success stories of private sector projects in Africa. The Bank will share information on how the Asian private sector can be involved in development projects in Africa. This event therefore aims to improve the Asian private sector’s understanding of business opportunities in Africa.
Interpretation services in English, Korean, and Chinese will be available.
